CAN I KEEP MY LICENSE ACTIVE

Absolutely, that's the beauty of Hey Agent! You're still an active agent but instead of selling you collect fees for making referrals. And, if you're ready to fully sell again it's an easy process to make the switch.

CAN I ACTIVELY SELL REAL ESTATE

No, you'll work by referral and collect fees for doing so (typically 25-33% of the selling agents commission). Pretty good for simply making an introduction.

WILL I BE A REALTOR®

No, because you are saving the fees you would normally pay to your local, state and national REALTOR® associations you may not market yourself as a REALTOR®.

WHO CAN I REFER CLIENTS TO

Referrals are made by the Owner or Designated Broker. If you have an agent you'd like it to go to that is, of course, our first consideration. However, if you have a referral and don't have a relationship in that area, we'll find an RE Rockstar for you.

DO I STILL NEED CE, CORE, ETHICS AND E&O

Yes, without maintaining your education and insurance you cannot be "active" and must either go "inactive" or terminate your license. The upside is we can usually provide some FREE opportunities for the required education and, we provide E & O coverage (where required) as part of your annual fees.

WILL I HAVE MLS ACCESS

No, as a "referral only" agent you cannot sell real estate and cannot access the MLS. However, you do not have to pay the fees associated with the MLS or SUPRA EKEY.

DO I STILL NEED TO RENEW WITH IREC

Yes, you will need to renew with the Idaho Real Estate Commission every 2 years to remain "Active" and able to receive referral commissions. That's why we provide CORE, Ethics and other CE options to keep your education current.
